Sandy, Explained (Kind Of)
From Guangzhou to Hong Kong to Vancouver, my path has always crossed cultures and stories. That’s shaped not just where I live — but how I think, work, and create.
Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, I build campaigns that connect across borders and make ideas feel at home, wherever they land.
I blend strategy with storytelling, creativity with structure. Whether I’m helping a pet-care brand go viral or refreshing the intranet for a professional services firm, I bring:
A sharp eye for both visuals and messaging
A cross-cultural lens to every decision
Clear thinking from concept to execution
You’ll often find me moving between content, campaign planning, and platform strategy - translating brand goals into scroll-stopping work that actually delivers.
I’ve worked with global giants like Microsoft, Sony, and Hong Kong Telecom — and a local professional firm here in BC. I’ve managed large-scale media budgets, built loyalty platforms, led website redesigns, and created brand partnerships that took Xbox into fashion stores and Surface into lifestyle spaces.
Whether the project is B2B or B2C, I’m always focused on one thing: helping brands connect more clearly, creatively, and authentically.
Outside of client work, I animate my daughter’s drawings — turning her sketches into short, whimsical videos. We call it Belle’s Canvas: a mother–daughter collaboration where her imagination leads, and I follow with a bit of motion magic (and occasional tech support from our cat, who insists on walking across the keyboard mid-edit). It’s playful, creative, and reminds me why storytelling matters.
What I Believe
My daughter draws with pure instinct. No brief, no revisions — just joy. I bring that spirit into every project I take on. And with my cat nearby, shedding fur on everything I own, I’m reminded that creativity can be messy and still meaningful. It’s a little daily reminder of how fun this work can be at its best.
